Drăgănești, Bihor

in the center of the Beiuș Land

Drăgănești is a commune in Bihor County, northwestern Romania. It is composed of ten villages: Drăgăneşti, Belejeni, Grădinari, Livada Beiuşului, Mizieş, Păcăleşti, Păntăşeşti, Sebiş, Talpe şi Ţigăneştii de Beiuş.

 

Framed in the ethno-folkloric zone of "The Beiuș Land" with a significant landscape

 

It has  particular landmarks such as religious paintings on the exterior walls, a folk artist in the art of weaving and embroidery or a greengrocer village

 

It is kept with many traditions and customs from the Men's group Colindat as a ritual in the Christmas-time to the eggs decorating at Easter or something distinguished as 'the solar fires' ritual called 'Sfinții'

 

In the commune there are two wooden churchs of local interest and one wooden church of national interest, all well preserved historical monuments. And there are a lot of natural and anthropic sightseeings close to the commune

 

It is crossed by European route E79, road transit to the nearby popular tourist destination such as the climatic resort of local interest Stâna de Vale which is 30 km far from Drăgănești commune and about 24 km to Boga; about 35 km to the Padiş tourist area; and at 16 km to Chişcău (where is located the Bear Cave and the Ethnographic Museum „Flutur Aurel”).
